“Today Canarsie Park has really gone to the dogs!” declared Assemblyman Frank Seddio at
the Brooklyn Canarsie Lions Club’s Dog Walk-A-Thon held last Saturday morning.
The event, co-sponsored with
the North Shore Animal League, in cooperation with the offices of Congressman Ed Towns, State Senator John Sampson and Seddio, was a first for the local chapter of the Lions Club. Its goal is to raise funds to purchase and train two guide dogs, which costs $6,000 each.
